Introduction to forestryis designedto give students a broad overview of forests and the forestry profession. The course will attempt to provide broad exposure to a range of issues faced by forestry resource professionals, including the services and products from these forests, environmental and human values, and basic elements of use, planning and management. The course will provide an overview of forest attributes and issues worldwide with emphasis on the United States and particularly the Pacific Northwest.
